NEW CLASSES COMING WINTER 2017
During our Little Artist Classes children are introduced to a variety of art making materials and techniques. Students will build decorative and functional pottery; creating texture by pounding, pinching and stamping the clay.
Children will also make pictures using safe nontoxic paints and inks, developing imagery with brushes, hand made stamps, fingers and toes. Students will also make small sculptural projects using foam blocks, popsicle sticks, goggle eyes, wood and much more! Working one-on-one with the teacher, the children get the unique opportunity of working on our pottery wheel. They will squeeze and mold the clay as spins on the wheel. This a fun, messy, and tactile experience for the toddlers. So come join the creativity!
Little Artist classes follow the Public School calendar, if school is closed we will not be holding class that day. Class will run one hour beginning at 10:30 am and ending at 11:30. We have a 12 student maximum for each class, to ensure everyone gets the proper attention and time with teachers.
Safety, Materials and Tools Our teachers provide students with the knowledge and guidance to safely use all tools and materials in our studio. All of our materials are non-toxic and most are washable, but we recommend aprons or older clothing as some of our classes (especially pottery and printmaking) can get messy.
In case of a cancellation a make up class will be provided the week after last class of each session. Parents will be notified in advance if a class must be canceled.
